Fall & Winter Season

Rehearsal Policy

Attendance

  • All students are required to be in their seats ready to play at the beginning of the rehearsal. If a student misses more than 30% of the rehearsals, he/she is subject to dismissal from the end-of-the-season performance. Students that must miss a rehearsal due to events permitted by the Board of Education of New York and New Jersey are considered excused absences and must be notified at least a week prior to the absent date.

 

Preparation

  • Every student must print their respective parts and have it in hand at every rehearsal (the faculty is NOT responsible for lost parts). Each student is responsible for practicing their part to be prepared for an efficient and productive rehearsal session.

 

Please have the following items at each rehearsals:

  • Printed parts within a binder

  • Pencil and eraser

  • Music stand

 

Concert Attire

Concert dress is formal Black attire. It is crucial that all student follow this guideline and is subject to disciplinary actions upon violation of this dress code. This is to implement healthy and content performance environment for all student and audience.

 

For Gentlemen:

  • Collared black shirts and black pants.

  • Black socks

  • Black dress shoes

For Lady:

  • Black blouses with black pants or long skirts or black dresses.

  • No leggings.

  • All skirt length must cover the student’s knee.

  • Black close-toed shoes
